People want brands to take a stand on data security, privacy and diversity

According to fresh research from FleishmanHillardFishburn on issues consumers truly care about, data security and privacy are what consumers want brands to talk about, even more so than their diversity or sustainability efforts.

Stephanie Bailey, FleishmanHillardFishburn’s managing director, explained: “[Data security and privacy] are the issues that concern people the most, where they feel there is a vacuum,” adding “big companies need to take responsibility, and someone needs to come up and say that this is a big issue to our consumers. … Failures to confront and truly deal with the issue has left consumers concerned and unsure.”
